- Last week we welcomed many of our students back to school. The students engaged in many activities getting to know their teachers & classmates and learning routines and expectations, setting the stage for a wonderful year of learning.
- Our wonderful PTO helped make the opening week very special by decorating the school for their arrival. Thank you so much!

Mandatory Forms: We still have many families who have not completed the mandatory forms. These forms are essential for us to be able to ensure that we have accurate dismissal plans and can follow your wishes for photo/video use in school. These are for ALL students, including students who ride the bus. If you have not already done so, please complete these mandatory forms as soon as possible.
School Photos: We have two dates for school photos this year. Please look carefully at which grades will be taking photos on each day:
- Tuesday, 9/15 - Grades K, 2, 3, & PreK (4day & T/Fri.)
- Monday, 9/28 - Grade 1 & M/Th PreK
Meet the Teacher Night: On Wednesday, 9/16, Stall Brook School will host Meet the Teacher Night. This is a time for adults only to come to school and meet your child's teacher and learn about curriculum and the classroom. Please see the times below:
- PreK & K families- 6:00pm-6:45pm
- Grades 1-3 families - 6:55pm-7:45pm

Statewide Call for Student Artwork for Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month - The Hispanic and Latin Organization of Leaders in Action (HOLA), an employee resource group at DESE, invites student artists to submit their artwork about Hispanic or Latino identity or culture to be featured in DESE’s Board meeting rooms in late September in honor of Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month. The theme is “Our Diversity is Our Strength.” Students may submit originals or copies of visual art – including but not necessarily limited to drawings, collages, paintings, murals, sculptures, computer illustrations, and photographs. Students may submit work created specifically for this event or work created previously that fits the theme. The selection committee will prioritize showcasing work from a variety of schools across the Commonwealth. Submissions are due by Monday, September 14. HOLA will make their selections and share their decisions by Friday, September 18. All entries should be submitted using this student art submission form. The submission form includes space for the artist’s name, school, grade, sponsoring teacher, a scan or photo of the piece, the media used, and an optional space for an artist statement.Â

- School pictures will be held on 9/15 & 9/28. All grades other than 1st grade & Pre-K Mon/Thurs sessions will be taken on 9/15. Watch for info in your child’s folders coming home next week.

- We are so excited to start our third year of the Backpack Program! At Stall Brook we believe students learn best when all their basic needs are met and we want to make sure no student goes hungry, so every weekend we send a discreet prepacked Backpack with healthy foods and snacks for our students in need.
- This program runs 100% on donations so we count with your help to make it successful! We have an Amazon Wish List that ships directly to the school, and also collection bins at every entrance where students can leave any food donations they may have. Gift cards to grocery stores and checks to Stall Brook PTO with “Backpack Program” in the memo are also appreciated.Â
- If your family could benefit from this program please fill this form. It is anonymous (only Nurse Jean will know), and there’s no requirements to join it.
- We plan to pack our first bags next week and send them home on Thursday September 3rd!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year! My name is Jean Moreau, and I am the school nurse. I am looking forward to working with you and your child to help promote a healthy, safe, and successful school year. The health and well-being of our students is a shared responsibility, and communication between home and school is an important part of providing the best possible care. Please keep the following reminders in mind:
- Updated Physical Examinations: If your child has had a recent physical examination, please provide the Health Office with a copy of the updated physical so that we can keep your child’s health record current.
- Changes in Health: Please keep the school nurse informed of any changes in your child’s health condition, including new diagnoses, allergies, medications, surgeries, or other health concerns that may affect your child during the school day.
- Medications at School: All medications that are brought to school must be delivered directly to the Health Office by an adult. Students are not permitted to carry medications in their backpacks or bring medications to school on their own. This includes prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or information that may help me better support your child while they are at school. I look forward to partnering with you and helping your child have a happy, healthy, and successful school year!
